The Prologue to a Good Blog.

I'm going to start this as a normal high school student. Hello, my name is Ishita Pillai. I am 15 years old - my birthday is on the 12th of January. I'm a true Indian, however, have lived 14 years of my life in West Africa. The past 1.5 years, I have been living in South Africa. I love books, I enjoy watching movies and I love music. I love any music that has lyrical beauty and/or amazing chord progressions. Tbh, would like to declare, a huge K-pop fan since 2011 (comment below and ask questions if ya want to).

However, this first post is made out of urgency. I do have a cause that I would like to represent before I create a super official 'all about me' rant.

I am in a Service Organisation called Thokozani. Here's a pic of me with some of the children:

Our service organisation's aim is to provide an 'English medium' education to children from ages 6 months to 6 years before they attend primary school. We have come across a roadblock of sorts.

For the students to attend primary education, they have to have a uniform. Before I continue, I would like to say that some of these children are supported by elder siblings of my age; some don't have parents. They belong to a very underprivileged community. 

In order for them to have uniforms, my service organisation requires donations of 250 South African Rand. That's the cost of one uniform and basic supplies.

That's a basic conversion, as Rand is not a very popular currency. I would really appreciate any help that anybody reading this blog can give.
